Dinnerlady Maxine on hero Wood a decade after death

DINNERLADIES star Maxine Peake has paid tribute to its leading lady and writer, Victoria Wood, on the 10th anniversary of her death.

Maxine, 51, who played Twinkle in the BBC sitcom, said she became obsessed with comedian Victoria at a young age.

"I still get emotional," she added. "As a fan, I mean to be able to work with her, I couldn't believe it. I still don't believe I did that because, from being 10, I was obsessed with, I mean, really obsessed with her."
