SCIENCE tells us there are only 24 hours in a day but The Chase star Shaun Wallace reckons he packs in 27.

Shaun, 65, must be one of the busiest men in TV: not only is he filming for the ITV quiz and travel show The Great Escapers, he is also a practising criminal barrister.

And the tireless Chaser, known as "the Dark Destroyer", also fits in two gym workouts - 1,000 stomach crunches, gym and a run plus a session with a personal trainer after work.

Admitting he has created a "a 27-hour day" for himself, he says: "When you do something you love, it's not a chore."

He adds: "I've always said that you should make an investment in your physical and mental wellbeing so I've always done that."

His day starts at 7am with his first workout.

He says: "I used to do 2,000 stomach crunches but I reduced that to 1,000. I then go outside and spend 20 minutes in a mini gym, which I end with stretches before going on a quick run to get my body moving.
