THE mother of a murdered teenager has told how she learned of the attack from a stranger using her girl's phone.

Logan MacPhail, 16, was sentenced to life with a minimum term of 17 years for killing Holly Newton, 15, in January 2023.

MacPhail, who was unhappy about their breakup, followed Holly when she finished school before knifing her 36 times and stabbing a boy who tried to save her.

The latest episode of Discovery+ and Really TV documentary series, Inside The Arrest, features a moving interview with Holly's mum.
