LABOUR has fought off a Reform UK challenge with a shock by-election victory.

Davy Russell won the Scottish Parliament contest despite being tipped to come third in the seat previously held by the SNP.

PM Keir Starmer was delighted. He said: "People in Scotland have once again voted for change."
