Maddie suspect 'begs for food in false beard'

But pizza shop staff see through disguise

CHRISTIAN Brueckner wore a false beard to beg for free food, a pizza shop worker claims.

The chief suspect in Madeleine McCann's disappearance is said to have been wandering disguised around the city he is staying in since being freed from jail.

But the pizza worker told how the German paedophile's identity was obvious when he arrived at his takeaway at around 9pm on Friday.

She said: “He was wearing a false beard but was still recognisable.

“It was long and made of some kind of synthetic material. I don't know exactly what material it was made of but it wasn't hair.

“It was brownish, a different colour to the hair on his head. It was obviously not real.
