Johnson to be quizzed on harms suffered by kids

BORIS Johnson will be questioned at the Covid-19 Inquiry this week about the harms done to a generation of children.

The former Prime Minister has been criticised for late lockdowns and a lack of national preparation for remote learning when schools closed.

There is mounting evidence that isolation and missed learning during the pandemic has had a lasting developmental impact for some.

Inquiry chair Baroness Heather Hallett has invited the shamed Tory, who was PM between 2019 and 2022, to appear tomorrow to explain his government's decisions.

It is part of the latest module looking at the impact on youngsters.
