United seal late Lammens deal as Ruben looks to solve keeper crisis

- BY DAVID MCDONNELL X@DiscoMirror

MANCHESTER UNITED moved to address their goalkeeper crisis on deadline day by signing Senne Lammens for £18.2million plus add-ons.

United decided to recruit a new No.1 after mistakes from Altay Bayindir and Andre Onana at the start of the season and decided on Belgian talent Lammens.

The 23-year-old travelled to Manchester yesterday to complete his move from Royal Antwerp and has signed a five-year deal.

United also managed to offload two more members of Ruben Amorim’s ‘bomb squad’, Jadon Sancho moving to Aston Villa on loan and Antony making a permanent move to Real Betis.

Rasmus Hojlund has also joined Italian side Napoli on a season-long loan.

As part of the loan agreement, Serie A winners Napoli have an obligation to buy the Denmark striker who cost United £72m two years ago for £38m next summer if they qualify for the Champions League.
