Builder who won £105m on lottery buys entire centre for disabled young folk in amazing act of kindness... & even mucks in with refit
A BIGHEARTED builder who won £105million on the EuroMillions has used part of his windfall to buy a permanent base for disabled young people.
Steve Thomson scooped the huge amount the UK's seventh biggest EuroMillions win - in 2019.
And after coming to terms with his luck and making sure his family was secure, the dad-of-three turned his attention to helping others.
Steve first bought a minibus for Together Our Community, a charity that supports young adults with disabilities to live, learn and work - and now he has gifted them their own three-storey building.
He has also given £50,000 to fund new equipment at his local medical centre and handed another £50,000 to his sons’ school.
Steve, 48, credits his selflessness to lessons his dad Peter taught him.
RESPECT
He says: "My dad's sister had severe lumbar scoliosis [curvature of the lower spine], so I was raised to respect people with disabilities and to try and help where I can.
