5,000 tourists escape wind-whipped wildfire
A MASSIVE wildfire ravaging Crete has forced thousands of tourists and residents to flee hotels and homes.
Nearly 250 firefighters struggled against the blaze, fanned by gale force winds, which started near Ierapetra on the Greek Island's southern coast on Wednesday.
