Shoreham families' relief at pilot verdict
THE families of the Shoreham air disaster say they are relieved that an attempt by the pilot involved to regain his flying licence has failed.
Andy Hill was flying a Hawker Hunter in the Shoreham Airshow on August 22, 2015, when his attempted loop stunt ended in the 1950s plane crashing on the A27, killing 11.
In 2017 the Air Accidents Investigation Branch found pilot error caused the crash.
