Final farewell to ‘gentleman' D-Day hero

PALLBEARERS solemnly carry the coffin of one of Britain's last D-Day veterans, who died aged 100.

Bill Gladden, of Haverhill, Suffolk, was 20 when he flew into Normandy on a military glider with a cargo of a tank and six motorbikes on June 6, 1944.
