Fertility rates drop again to a record low

THE fertility rate has dropped to its lowest level on record as families have fewer children, official figures show.

The Office for National Statistics said the average number of babies born per woman fell for the third year in a row in England and Wales, from 1.42 in 2023 to 1.41
