Falling in love is brave.. it's a big decision when it's not just you

Good Morning Britain's Ranvir Singh has opened up about the challenges and complexities of falling in love again as a single mum.

Now 47 and with a 12-yearold son, Tushaan, the former Strictly star has been in a relationship with Louis Church, a TV production manager who is 18 years her junior, for the last four years.

She didn't take the decision of potentially disturbing the bond she has with her son lightly, she tells the Mirror, but she says the rewards of having a loving partner have been worth the risk.

"I think anybody who's been in the position I've been in plays it very cautiously," she explains. "It really isn't just" about you and your feelings.

"We can throw caution to the wind for ourselves but when we have children, our foot is always hovering over the brake pad because you think, "This isn't just about me.

"It's not just about the relationship itself but even thinking, 'Have I got the time to introduce somebody? I don't want to dilute my time with my son. All those anxieties are really universal. Caution is the byword.

"It's a much, much bigger and weightier decision than when it's just you, for sure. Falling in love is a very brave decision and to do it well is a lifelong journey."
