Chelsea boss reckons Kop weaknesses ready to be exploited

- BY BOBBY VINCENT

ENZO MARESCA believes Liverpool have shown a vulnerability that Chelsea can exploit in their crucial showdown at Stamford Bridge this evening.

The Reds have lost their last two matches against Crystal Palace in the Premier League and Galatasaray in the Champions League, with Arne Slot's big-spending champions revealing signs of weakness.

Liverpool spent almost £450million on new players in the summer, when the Reds broke their transfer record twice by signing Florian Wirtz and Alexander Isak.

It is taking a little while for the new signings to bed in at Anfield, although Liverpool do go into this weekend top of the Premier League with five wins from six matches.

Maresca, whose Chelsea side have faltered in recent weeks as well, thinks Liverpool have shown cracks in recent matches and is hopeful his side can exploit that. "There is vulnerability about anyone in the world, not just Liverpool," Maresca said.
