End of life still taboo subject for over 25%

Funerals are hard to discuss

DEATH remains a taboo subject for more than a quarter of people, according to research.

It comes as a charity published a checklist encouraging people to plan their end-of-life care.

Some 27% told Marie Curie’s survey that they viewed death as a taboo subject, with 31% saying it was too frightening.

Around a quarter of people said they avoid the subject completely because they do not want to burden their families.
