Penalties from Gibbs-White & Jesus get new boss Sean off to flying start

- BY SARAH CLAPSON

AFTER the end of an error, a special European night under the City Ground lights had all the ingredients of being a fresh start for Forest.

In the space of just a few days since his appointment on Tuesday, Sean Dyche had transformed the mood at the club.

And this Forest side has also transformed as Dyche’s men earned a crucial Europa League victory over Portuguese giants Porto. Morgan Gibbs-White and Igor Jesus both scored from the spot as Forest fought hard to end a run of 10 games without a win - and claim a first clean sheet since April.

Gibbs-White said: "There is no one here that deserves it more than the fans. Those points were for the fans for sticking by us."

A cloud had been hanging over the City Ground as a result of Ange Postecoglou's miserable 39-day reign.
