Mayor urges PM to ignore bosses opposing plans
SIR Sadiq Khan has urged Keir Starmer to resist calls to weaken a landmark expansion of workers’ rights.
The Mayor of London said the plans in the Employment Rights Bill, including new entitlements to flexible working and sick pay, and a ban on exploitative zerohours contracts, are good for employees and bosses.
Big business and right-wingers have attacked the plans.
