JACK COLBACK says he thrived from the abuse he received after moving from Sunderland to bitter rivals Newcastle.

Colback grew up as a Magpies fan, but actually came up through the Black Cats' academy.

In 2014, having been at the Stadium of Light since he was eight, he became the first player in nearly 20 years to transfer directly from Wearside to Tyneside.
