Captain fantastic Dunk the catalyst for comeback victory says Hinshelwood

JACK HINSHELWOOD wrote the headlines - but insisted the inspiration for Brighton's comeback win came from Lewis Dunk.

England Under-21s midfielder Hinshelwood returned from injury to score his first goal since May.

And it proved to be the winner after Bart Verbruggen saved a stoppage-time penalty from Brentford’ Igor Thiago.

Danny Welbeck had already equalised after Thiago scored his first penalty and Hinshelwood completed the comeback.

But the 20-year-old wishes he was as big an influence over the Seagulls as Dunk.

Fabian Hurzeler revealed afterwards that Brighton’s talis-manic skipper had missed two days of training with an illness before the match.

But Dunk came on at halftime and helped change the game as the Seagulls ground out a comeback win.

Hinshelwood said: “He is massive for us. He’s our captain.
