Tennis commentator and sister 'terrified' by stalker campaign

TENNIS presenter Naomi Broady was bombarded with messages and gifts from an obsessed stalker who also targeted her sister.

The former player was inundated with social media messages between January and December 2023.

David Richardson, 39, last month pleaded guilty to the harassment of Naomi, 35, as well as the stalking of her sister Emma over a three-year period.

His campaign caused Naomi, part of the BBC's Wimbledon coverage last month, “serious harm and distress”, magistrates court papers show.

A source said: “It was terrifying. They were pleased the police took it seriously. Action has now been taken.”
