Best fish & chip shops hope for top spot in 38th awards
THE chips are down for 10 fryers vying for the title of Britain's best takeaway.
One of the tasty 10 will discover tonight which has impressed the judges the most and landed first plaice in the National Fish & Chip Awards' best chippy.
Yorkshire has four nods in the top 10 for Takeaway of the Year, Scotland two, and London, Oxford, Essex and Durham one each.
There are 13 other categories in the 38th annual awards, including Restaurant of the Year, Drywite Young Fish Frier of the Year, and the all-new Menu Innovation.
