THE Duke of Marlborough has been charged with three counts of intentional strangulation.
Charles James Spencer-Churchill, 70, who is related to Sir Winston Churchill and Diana, Princess of Wales, is accused of attacking the same person over an 18-month period.
The duke is due to appear before Oxford Magistrates today, after his arrest in May last year.
The three charges of nonfatal intentional strangulation are alleged to have taken place in Woodstock, Oxfordshire, between November 2022 and May 2024.
The twice-married aristocrat inherited his dukedom in 2014 after the death of his father, the 11th Duke of Marlborough.
