17-year-old leads Euroformula Open Championship and Rookie standings

Seventeen-year-old Sri Lankan racing prodigy Yevan David delivered a breathtaking performance to win the opening race of Round 2 in the 2025 Euroformula Open Championship at the legendary Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps on Saturday.
In what was his very first drive on the iconic Belgian Formula 1 track, Yevan stunned the field by clinching pole position in qualifying. He then followed it up with a heart-stopping victory in the first race of the weekend, overtaking his rival in the final corner of the last lap, to cross the finish line just 0.070 seconds ahead.
