SERVED TO YOU WITH A DASH OF LIME

Saskia Fernando Gallery is pleased to present Served to you with a dash of lime, a group exhibition that brings together contemporary artists from Sri Lanka and the diaspora, with the intention of disarming and delighting.

The exhibition will take place at 41 Horton Place, Colombo 07 and features a dynamic roster of bold and rising artistic voices, including Muvindu Binoy, Hashan Cooray, Kumkum Fernando, Arjuna Gunarathne, Kawishwara Jayasekara, Mayun Kaluthantri, Mahesha Kariyapperuma, Sangeeth Madurawala, Murugiah, Anupa Perera, Gayan Prageeth, Firi Rahman, Mika Tennekoon and Pradeep Thalawatta. Curated by Mariyam Begum and Sulakshi Ratnayake, the exhibition offers a refreshing blend of satire and subversion served with irreverent flair.

The collection of artworks exhibited in Served to you with a dash of lime demonstrates how sharp wit, unfiltered joy and gentle nostalgia can be harnessed for collective reflection on themes such as colonial residues, capitalist excess and environmental concerns. This exhibition brings to the forefront unique creatives that tackle the hypocrisies and contradictions of the contemporary world by engaging in the act of play and craft unfettered.
