The event is a continental multi-sport spectacle that has become a proving ground for Asia's next generation of elite athletes. The Sri Lankans are scheduled to leave the country on October 20.

The AYG, held every four years by the Olympic Council of Asia, gives young golfers a rare chance to compete at a level that mirrors the Asian Games and Youth Olympic Games.
