Russia, a land that has proven of its richness in culture and visual art has been the motherland to many notable individuals who have paved way and are considered as the pioneers in many forms of art.
The country's Literature, Ballet, Panting and Classical Music history are largely acknowledged and have been famous around the globe for decades.
Out of the many arts that Russia has contributed to, Ballet can be considered as one of the primary ones. Russian classical ballet stands as a pinnacle of artistic expression, renowned for its technical precision, emotive storytelling, and rich cultural heritage. From its inception in the 18th century to its global influence today, Russian ballet has captivated audiences worldwide. Being home to the two of the most prominent Ballet theatres in the world, Bolshoi and Mariinsky Russian Ballet has its unique style of dance with a blend of classism and folk tales, which makes it closer to one's soul. Ballet in Russia flourished in the Romantic Era between the years 1830-1850.
The 19th century marked the golden era of Russian ballet, with choreographers like Marius Petipa creating masterpieces such as Swan Lake, The Sleeping Beauty, and The Nutcracker. These works, characterized by their grandeur and technical complexity.
