WEST Indies took a series winning 4-2 lead in the seven-match Youth ODI Under-19 series when they beat Sri Lanka by 3 wickets in the sixth game played at the Sri Vivian Richards Stadium in North Sound, Antigua.

In a high scoring match Sri Lanka invited to bat first put up a challenging total of 287-6. Openers Dimantha Mahavithana (49 off 61 balls, 5 fours) and Viran Chamuditha (88 off 85 balls, 10 fours) laid a solid foundation for the total with a stand of 114 off 106 balls. Skipper Vimath Dinsara also joined in the runs with an unbeaten 58 off 57 balls (4 sixes).
