Another indictment served on Mahindananda and Nalin

FORMER Ministers Mahindananda Aluthgamage and Nalin Fernando, along with former Sports Ministry Secretary Major General (Retd.) Nanda Mallawarachchi, all currently serving prison sentences, were indicted yesterday before the Colombo High Court for allegedly committing an offence under the Public Property Act.

The charges relate to committing an offence under the Public Property Act by importing Carrom boards and draughts boards through the Lanka Sathosa Company during the 2015 Presidential Election and distributing them to sports clubs with the aim of gaining political advantage.
