A DOG owner has narrowly avoided jail after her XL bully left a caravan park worker scarred for life in a bloody mauling attack.

Christopher Steele was taking a gas meter reading near Vanessa Brennan's plot at Edwards Leisure Park in Towyn, North Wales.

But Liverpool Crown Court Brennan, 41, opened her caravan door before pet dog Stan leapt out and set upon Mr Steele, puncturing his left leg and inflicting as many as 20 wounds.
