Van de Ven tackle 'not reckless'

THOMAS FRANK has labelled Micky van de Ven a "true defender" as he hit back at Arne Slot's condemnation of the Dutchman's leg-breaking challenge on Alexander Isak.
The Tottenham centre-back, left, attempted to block Isak's shot for Liverpool's first goal in their 2-1 victory on Saturday. But his challenge caught the Swedish striker's left foot, causing an ankle injury and a fractured fibula.
