Stunning late comeback sees Amorim's men seal spot in Bilbao showpiece

MANCHESTER UNITED charged into the Europa League final after hosting their own version of VE Day at Old Trafford.

Ruben Amorim’s men came from behind to sink Athletic Bilbao 4-1 and their reward will be a return to the Basque city for an all-English showdown with Tottenham on May 21.

Mikel Jauregizar’s stunning first-half strike had offered Bilbao hope of an unlikely fightback.

But a stunning second-half display by United made it another memorable European night for Amorim’s side. Substitute Mason Mount equalised with 18 minutes remaining before Casemiro’s glancing header put United 2-1 ahead on the night.
