Two killed as car plunges 300ft off cliff at beauty spot

TWO people died after a car plunged 300ft over a cliff into the water below a beauty spot.
The tragedy took place at Alum Bay, near the iconic Needles landmark on the Isle of Wight.
Paramedics, the coastguard, police and firefighters all raced to the scene.
A winchman was lowered from a helicopter to the bottom of the cliff.
It is understood a man was pulled to shore by rescuers but it was unclear if he survived.
