TV's Jay Blades in court as he faces separate charges of rape

TV HOST Jay Blades appeared before a court yesterday on a controlling or coercive behaviour charge, after it emerged he has been accused separately of two counts of rape.
West Mercia Police said the 55-year-old, who fronted prime-time BBC show The Repair Shop, was due to appear at Telford Magistrates' Court, Shropshire, on the rape charges next Wednesday.
Yesterday, Blades, appeared at Worcester Crown Court with his legal team via a video link for a preliminary hearing relating to the controlling or coercive behaviour allegation.
