Tragic Sara 'never smiled'

LITTLE Sara Sharif "never smiled once" in the months before she died, a neighbour has told jurors.

Judith Lozeron said she would often see the 10-year-old's family in their adjoining garden but there was "some separateness" between them and Sara that she did not understand.

Sara's dad Urfan Sharif, 42, her stepmum Beinash Batool, 30, and her uncle Faisal Malik, 29, deny murder and causing or allowing her death between December 2022 and August last year.

Giving evidence at the Old Bailey yesterday, Mrs Lozeron said the family moved next door to her in Woking, Surrey, in April 2023. Asked how Sara seemed, she said: "Never was she smiling when I saw her, not one time.
