Tory MP arrested over rape and drugs claims

A SENIOR Tory arrested on suspicion of rape insists he is "confident" the investigation will end without charge.
Crispin Blunt, 63, has identified himself as the MP at the centre of a Surrey police probe after reports emerged yesterday of the arrest.
The former minister said he was first interviewed by officers three weeks ago when he reported concerns about extortion.
He said: "It has been reported that an MP was arrested yesterday in connection with an allegation of rape.
