A PHD student who drugged and raped 10 women in London and China could have targeted more than 50 other victims, police fear.

Zhenhao Zou, 28, was convicted yesterday of raping two women who have been identified and another eight who have yet to be traced.

The Chinese national filmed nine of the attacks as “souvenirs” and kept a trophy box of women’s belongings, Inner London Crown Court heard.

Police believe engineering student Zou may have preyed on more than 50 other women.

After the verdicts, Commander Kevin Southworth, of the Met Police, said: “This man may well turn out to be one of the most prolific sexual predators that we’ve ever seen in this country.”

UK detectives are now discussing making social media appeals in China, urging potential victims of Zou to come forward.
