THIS week's episode of GRANTCHESTER (9pm, ITV1) finds Robson Green's character in one of his grumpier moods.
DI Geordie Keating (that's him) has been looking forward to a rare, relaxing Sunday afternoon off duty - ie. roast beef with the vicar and co., followed by a snooze in front of the fire - but an urgent phone call, much to his frustration, has swiftly scuppered that plan.
Some bloke, we discover, has been found dead at a local hotel, his body sprawled in ungainly fashion at the foot of the stairs.
Turns out he's the manager, or atleast he was. And that's not the only mystery to crop up and ruin copper Geordie's day of rest.
