Sighs of relief as Zelensky's suit passes muster

PRESIDENT Volodymyr Zelensky wore a military-style suit for his high-stakes meeting with Donald Trump amid fears the wrong outfit could have sparked another diplomatic spat.

The Ukrainian leader chose to wear dark fatigues at February’s explosive Oval Office meeting, irritating the US president and vice president JD Vance - and was one of the catalysts for the showdown which shattered the talks.

Arriving at the White House yesterday, he wore a smart black jacket and trousers, buttoned black formal shirt but no tie.
