Ruth: 'Gavin and Stacey leak was really mean...I had to lie to my family'

GAVIN and Stacey star Ruth Jones has said a leak about the show's final episode was "really mean", as she had to lie to her nearest and dearest.

Ruth and her co-creator James Corden said this month the hit would return for a Christmas Day one-off, but rumours of the revival first appeared on US outlet Deadline in February.

She told BBC Radio 4's Woman's Hour yesterday: "James and I wanted to give everybody a nice surprise and I think it was really mean that they leaked it," without naming who might have informed the media.
