BROOK AND 'FUN-LOVING MATES' MAKE IT HIGH FIVE

- By Gary Fitzgerald

HARRY BROOK and his “fun-loving mates” went out to celebrate a confidence-boosting fifth white-ball victory in a row and a second successive series triumph.

The Yorkshireman — who took over as captain when Jos Buttler was forced to step down following England’s fall from ODI and T20 grace — must feel the captaincy lark is an absolute breeze.

Brook starred with 34 and the in-form Buttler made a crucial 47 as England ran out comfortable four-wicket winners in Bristol.

They chased down a sizeable West Indies target of 197 with nine balls to spare amid plenty of fury and fireworks.

It gave the hosts a 2-0 lead, with just the one contest remaining in Southampton tomorrow, and added the T20 series to the recent 3-0 triumph in the ODIs.
