THE world has entered its most perilous period in decades, a leading bank boss has warned.

Jamie Dimon, of JP Morgan Chase, told investors the wars in Ukraine and Israel could drive energy and food prices up again.

He said yesterday: "My caution is that we are facing so many uncertainties. This may be the most dangerous time the world has seen in decades."

Investors are waiting to see if the Middle East crisis draws in other nations and pushes up oil prices to devastating effect.

RUSSIA'S foreign minister will visit North Korea this week amid claims from US officials that Pyongyang is supplying huge amounts of military equipment to Moscow.
