Prison drone drops 'pose national security threat'

GANGS could use drones to fly explosives into prisons because security is so lax, ministers have been warned.

It came as jails watchdog Charlie Taylor said drug and weapons drops to dangerous inmates posed a "threat to national security".

Convicts are burning holes in windows to get packages, it has emerged.

Mr Taylor, the Chief Inspector of Prisons, said there is a "thriving" drug economy among cons, with nets and CCTV in "disrepair".
