PM accuses absent Farage of 'fawning over Russia's Putin'
Daily Express
|February 26, 2025
SIR Keir Starmer has accused Nigel Farage of “fawning over Putin” after the Reform UK leader failed to appear at a Commons debate about extra defence spending.
It came as Mr Farage and his MPs were described as “Putin's poodles” after just one of the five, former Tory party deputy chairman Lee Anderson, turned up to hear the Prime Minister announce the boost.
Sir Keir said: “Nigel Farage didn't turn up to the debate in Parliament today.
“Nigel Farage is fawning over Putin.
“That's not patriotism.
“That is not what working people need.
