Paedo ran abuse chat while under police supervision

A SERIAL sex offender who ran child abuse chatrooms for paedophiles worldwide while under UK police supervision faces up to 34 years in a US prison after a judge approved his extradition.

Alan Wattman, caught in an FBI probe, said the US jail term was "grossly disproportionate" and triple the UK equivalent.

Under the alias Tornado, the former NatWest clerk created an online room where paedophiles swapped images showing the abuse of very young children.

Wattman, 44, committed some of his crimes while under the supervision of Cheshire Police following a previous conviction.
