HENRY POLLOCK is the latest big noise in English rugby but Northampton teammate Fin Smith says the flanker gets put on mute in camp.

Fly-half Smith has been alongside Pollock for club and country this season to witness his pal’s meteoric rise from the England Under-20s to a possible Lions tour, via a two-try senior Test debut against Wales.

Pollock, 20, is a ball of energy and his colleagues have learned to give him the silent treatment now and again.

But Smith, who lines up at No.10 today in Northampton’s Champions Cup last-eight clash with Castres, feels Pollock is worth the earache. He said: “I wish we had a remote control. He has been put on mute on multiple occasions. He gets five or 10-minute time-outs.
