Naomi: I was killing myself with cocaine in grief for Gianni

NAOMI Campbell has described "killing" herself with cocaine as she struggled to cope after top fashion designer Gianni Versace was shot dead.

The London-born supermodel, 53, told how she battled with cocaine and alcohol early in her career then went into rehab in 1999 after collapsing at a photoshoot.

She revealed in a new documentary series that she first turned to cocaine to deal with childhood abandonment issues.

She says: "Grief has been a very strange thing in my life because it doesn't always [show].

"I go into a shock and freak out when it actually happens, and then later is when I break.
