Muted Wembley was nothing unusual

THOMAS TUCHEL is proving he is not afraid to go into battle - first, Jude Bellingham and now the England crowd.

It was the timing as much as anything which caused more than a few raised eyebrows.

England had just beaten Wales 3-0, with further vindication of Tuchel's decision to put the team before the big names.

And then... he accuses England fans of being "silent", claiming it is "sad" they were not as loud as Wales' red wall and then suggesting the team did not get "energy back" from the crowd.

It was a big call. And a bit surprising because it was nothing out of the ordinary.
