MOYES PLAYS LONG GAME

DAVID MOYES is on track to become Everton's longest-serving permanent manager - but he is still Manchester United's shortest.

With a contract running until summer 2027, Moyes (on 546 games) is on course to surpass the legendary Harry Catterick (592) during his deal. As all those in his profession know, however, life is not always that straightforward.

Moyes spent more than 11 years as Everton manager first time around. Despite being handpicked by Alex Ferguson to be his successor, Moyes got the chop at United just 51 games into a six-year contract.
