Met officer charged with murder over shooting of rapper

A FIREARMS officer who fatally wounded an unarmed dad-to-be has been charged with his murder.
Chris Kaba, 24, was shot following a high-speed car chase last year.
Yesterday, Crown Prosecution Service lawyers announced the Met Police officer who pulled the trigger has been charged with rap artist Mr Kaba's murder, following a probe by the police watchdog.
The officer, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been suspended from duty since the incident and will next appear before Westminster magistrates court.
Relatives of Mr Kaba, who recorded music under the name Mad Itch, yesterday released a statement, saying they welcomed the charge.
His family said: "Chris was so very loved by our family and all his friends. He had a bright future ahead of him, but his life was cut short.
