HOME hero Sir Lewis Hamilton flew the flag to win the British Grand Prix and make history in front of watching Hollywood royalty.
The Mercedes ace held off reigning F1 champ Max Verstappen at Silverstone to notch a record ninth victory at the circuit.
Sir Lewis, 39, in his last season with Mercedes, appeared to cry as he told his team over the car radio: "This means so much to me." An extraordinary afternoon of high octane drama was witnessed by a host of celebrities, including Brad Pitt, 60, and his girlfriend Ines de Ramon, 34.
